Pendleton, Indiana (July 22, 2011) – To say it has been hot is probably the understatement of the month. It has been “Very Hot” all across the Midwest and Indiana has been right smack dab in the middle of it all.

Hoosier’s all across the state have had their metal tested thoroughly by temperatures in the upper 90’s and triple digit heat indexes.

So far least 60 Hoosiers have had to be treated for heat related medical problems due to the extreme heat here. That’s double the number during past periods of heat related extremes in the past.
