Pendleton, Indiana (July 4, 2011) – On this, America’s 235th Fourth of July, the Pendleton Historical Museum celebrates its 30th year.

From the Pendleton Historical Museum’s website:

In early 1979 a group of Pendleton People were gathered to discuss plans for the annual Pendleton High School Alumni Day.  It was at this meeting that the subject of a historical museum was introduced.  Then on September 5, 1981--a Saturday—the dedication of the Pendleton Historical Museum was held.

The big event each year for the museum is Encounter at the Falls, a Civil War Reenactment with presenters and period entertainment thorough out the park held each Spring. For the entire weekend

The museum is located at Falls Park on Falls Park Drive Pendleton, Indiana. The museum is open Saturdays & Sundays 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. May through October. Admission is free. Donations are always welcome.
