Anderson, Indiana (January 22, 2011) – It has to be hard being a kid today. The world is certainly a much different place than when I grew up. How can parents help their kids be better self managers in today’s society?

As it turned out I got to be a part of a very special program today that may be a big step in the direction all parents want their children to strive toward. My son, Gabe, ask me to stop by and watch the program he’s helping with. It’s a martial arts program hosted by Strength Martial Arts located at LIVRITE Fitness Center.

During my visit I spoke with Gene Fletcher who operates the martial arts program at LIVRITE in Anderson. Gene said building his students character and self-esteem is a major focus his of what they do there. He said the development of a positive self-esteem is extremely important to the happiness and success of children and teenagers. Gene said through this the kids gain the skills as to how they handle themselves, not only during participating and building their martial arts skills, but also how to handle themselves in a more productive way in their day-to-day life.

To find out more about the Strength Martial Arts program in Anderson their website at the visit the LIVRITE Fitness Center website at http://www.livritefitness.com/livrite_fitness_anderson_indiana.html. Or you can call them at (765) 617-6719 or (765) 649-5564 and ask for Gene.
